Having already established the North Course as the best course in Portugal, Monte Rei has begun construction on its South Course, another 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. North Course

This Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course has been challenging players of all abilities and handicaps from across the world since 2007. Set against the backdrop of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, the 7182 yard, par 72 course blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. 

Wide forgiving fairways weave through mature trees and valleys, creating a unique test on every hole alongside spectacular vistas.

Jack Nicklaus

Jack Nicklaus is arguably the finest player ever to pick up a golf club. After retiring from the professional game in 2005 with 73 PGA wins (including 18 majors) under his belt, the Golden Bear became synonymous with the design and development of top-flight courses across the globe. A legend of the game, Golf Inc. voted Nicklaus the Most Powerful Person in Golf for four straight years between 2004 and 2007.

His Signature course at Monte Rei Golf and Country Club is regularly ranked as the best and most exclusive course in Portugal, the home of European golf, and has been challenging players of all abilities and handicaps from across the world since 2007.
