John Deere Classic – July 4-7, 2024 – TPC Deere Run Silvis, Illinois, USA

This PGA TOUR event is a major draw for the Quad Cities region, attracting top golfers and celebrating its role as a launching pad for new champions.  Held annually since 2000, it's a great opportunity to see world-class golf and experience the excitement of the PGA TOUR.

Purse: $8,000,000

FedExCup: 500 pts

Previous winner: 🇦🇹 Sepp Straka ($1,332,000)

🏆 Winner 2024: 🇺🇸 Davis Thompson ($1,440,000) - Age: 25 - Turned Pro in 2021.

It is Davis Thompson's first victory on the American circuit. At the end of the final round, he carded a 64, seven shots under par (71), to finish in the lead (-28 overall) ahead of compatriots Michael Thorbjornsen and Luke Clanton and Taiwan's C.T Pan. The previous week, Thompson finished second in the Rocket Mortage Classic in Detroit and 9th in the US Open in June. He has qualified for the British Open.



Genesis Scottish Open – July 11-14, 2024 – The Renaissance Club, North Berwick, Scotland

The Genesis Scottish Open is the final qualifying event for The Open Championship in 2024. This prestigious tournament on the DP World Tour consistently attracts a global field of golfers vying for the title and the coveted spots in the upcoming Open. With its stunning Scottish seaside location, the Genesis Scottish Open promises a week of world-class golf and high drama.

Purse: $9,000,000

Previous winner: 🇬🇧 Rory Mcllroy ($1,575,000)

🏆 Winner 2024:🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Robert MacIntyre ($1,575,000) - Age: 27 - Turned Pro in 2017.

Robert MacIntyre won on his home soil after a thrilling finish, with birdie on final hole. He became only the second Scot in history to win the Scottish Open (the first in 25 years). It was the second PGA Tour title of his career (and his third on the DP World Tour).



ISCO Championship – July 11-14, 2024 – Keene Trace Golf Club, Nicholasville, USA

This PGA Tour tournament is a relatively new event, sponsored by ISCO Industries, a total piping solutions provider.  The competition will be played at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club and is expected to attract a strong field of professional golfers.

Purse: $4,000,000

FedExCup: 300 pts

Previous winner: 🇸🇪 Vincent Norrman ($684,000)

🏆 Winner 2024: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Harry Hall ($720,000) - Age: 26 - Turned Pro in 2019.

Harry Hall, nicknamed "the Man in the Beret", won the competition with a superb birdie in the third round. It is the British golfer's 1st PGA Tour title. In Nicholasville, Harry Hall finished ahead of Americans Zachary Blair, Pierceson Coody and Matthew NeSmith and Filipino Rico Hoey.



The Open Championship – July 18-21, 2024 – Royal Troon, South Ayrshire, Scotland

Nicknamed "The Old Course," Royal Troon is a historic and challenging links course known for its strong winds and deep bunkers. This prestigious tournament is the oldest of the four major championships in professional golf.

Purse: $17,000,000

FedExCup: 750 pts

Previous winner: 🇺🇸 Brian Harman ($3,000,000)

🏆 Winner 2024: 🇺🇸 Xander Schauffele ($3,100,000) - Age: 30 - Turned Pro in 2015.

The American, author of a perfect final round, finished ahead of Justin Rose and Billy Horschel. He thus secured his second major of the season, becoming the first player to achieve such a feat since Brooks Koepka in 2018.



Barracuda Championship – July 18-21, 2024 – Tahoe Mountain Club, Truckee, California, USA

This unique PGA TOUR event utilizes a modified Stableford scoring system, making it an exciting event for both players and spectators. Held amidst the picturesque scenery of the Lake Tahoe area, the Barracuda Championship promises a week of thrilling golf and stunning views.

Purse: $4,000,000

Previous winner: 🇺🇸 Akshay Bhatia ($684,000)

🏆 Winner 2024: 🇺🇸 Nick Dunlap ($720,000) - Age: 20 - Turned Pro in 2024.

Nick Dunlap picked up his 1st victory as a pro, 6 months exactly after his first PGA Tour title at La Quinta in the American Express. The former University of Alabama player makes history by becoming the first player to win the PGA Tour as an amateur and then as a pro in the same year.



3M Open – July 25-28, 2024 – TPC Twin Cities, Blaine, Minnesota, USA

This PGA TOUR event has become a popular stop for fans and golfers alike. Held amidst the beautiful Minnesota landscape, the 3M Open promises a week of exciting competition and scenic views.  This year, the tournament will feature a special Folds of Honor Friday event on July 26th to honor America's service men and women and first responders.

Purse: $8,100,000

FedExCup: 500 pts

Previous winner: 🇺🇸 Lee Hodges ($1,404,000)

🏆 Winner 2024: 🇻🇪 Jhonattan Vegas ($1,458,000) - Age: 39 - Turned Pro in 2008.

Suffering from a number of injuries in recent years, including an operation in 2023, Jhonattan Vegas, two-time winner of the RBC Canadian Open (2016 and 2017), had to wait almost seven years to get back to winning on the American circuit. A fine reward for his perseverance.
