Just one hour south of Lisbon, situated in a secluded coastal setting on the edge of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, the Dunas Golf Course (6,646 meters) is the first of two 18-hole championship layouts at Terras da Comporta.

Created over 84 hectares of natural, sandy terrain the par-71 course, is a true links, unique in Portugal, expertly designed and manicured by David McLay-Kidd to provide a world-class golfing experience.

With 18 holes perfectly sculpted into the natural land undulations, this par 71 is more than just a course: it is a sensory journey, where every shot demands precision, imagination and respect for the surrounding scenery. Since its inauguration in October 2023, Dunas has been recognized by expert critics and awarded internationally, consolidating its place among Europe's great golf destinations.

Designed by David McLay-Kidd, one of the most influential figures in contemporary golf architecture, Dunas Golf Course was born out of a visionary collaboration with Vanguard Properties. Designed to blend in with Comporta's unique topography, the course reveals an organic layout, where each hole follows the natural curves of the dunes and indigenous vegetation. The result is a challenging and engaging course that emphasizes the authenticity of the experience and the balance with the landscape.
