PGA Aroeira No. 2 has been claiming challengers from across Europe since April 2000. Steel took advantage of the magnificent setting and laid out a course capable of hosting tournaments of the very highest level.

With the rebranding done in 2024, Aroeira became PGA National Portugal. It has the Exclusive PGA Branded Property Partner status for all Portugal - strictly limited to only one PGA National per country.

Players who tee off from the back – from which the course measures more than 6,300m – should expect a tough test that lives long in the memory. This tour of spectacular woodland challenges players to navigate five vast lakes, deviously placed fairway bunkers and a gallery of undulating greens. However, the course welcomes players of all abilities and other tee options are available on all 18 holes.

Aroeira No. 2 has been the stage for two editions of the Ladies Open of Portugal on the Ladies European Tour, as well as the competition’s Qualifying School.
