Poston finished at 12-under-par and defeated fellow American Ryan Gerard in a sudden-death playoff after both players completed regulation tied at the top of the leaderboard. After matching pars on the first extra hole, Poston prevailed on the second playoff hole. Wyndham Clark finished solo third, one stroke behind the playoff.
The tournament was made even more challenging by severe weather that disrupted play during the weekend, forcing players to complete a demanding schedule on Sunday. Poston showed remarkable composure throughout the final round, including a crucial birdie on the 72nd hole that allowed him to catch Gerard and force the playoff.
