The Biltmore Championship Asheville debuts on the PGA TOUR schedule in 2026 as the opening event of the FedExCup Fall. Introduced as part of the TOUR's post-FedExCup calendar, the tournament provides players with valuable opportunities to improve their standing, secure playing privileges for the following season, and compete for exemptions into major PGA TOUR events.
The championship is contested at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville. Opened in 2005, the course combines dramatic mountain scenery with strategic shot-making and has earned recognition as one of the premier golf destinations in the southeastern United States.
One of the event's defining features is its spectacular natural setting. Surrounded by forests, rolling terrain, and panoramic mountain views, Walnut Cove provides one of the most scenic backdrops on the PGA TOUR calendar.
As the inaugural edition of the tournament, the 2026 champion will become the first player to lift the Biltmore Championship Asheville trophy and write his name into PGA TOUR history.

The Presidents Cup is one of the premier team events in world golf. First contested in 1994, the biennial competition pits the United States Team against an International Team representing players from outside Europe. Over the years, the event has produced many memorable moments and showcased some of the greatest players in golf history, earning a prominent place on the global golfing calendar.
The 2026 edition will be played at the legendary Medinah Country Club (Course No. 3). Originally designed by Tom Bendelow and recently restored and renovated by the acclaimed architecture firm OCM, the course is one of the most celebrated championship venues in the United States. Medinah has previously hosted multiple major championships, the Ryder Cup, and the BMW Championship.
One of the unique aspects of the Presidents Cup is its team-match-play format, featuring foursomes, four-ball matches, and singles competition. Unlike regular PGA TOUR events, players compete not for prize money or FedExCup points, but for team pride and international prestige.
The 2026 United States Team will be captained by Brandt Snedeker, while the International Team will be led by Geoff Ogilvy. The United States enters the competition as the defending Presidents Cup champion following its victory at Royal Montreal in 2024 and holds a commanding 13-1-1 all-time record in the event.
