The Biltmore Championship Asheville debuts on the PGA TOUR schedule in 2026 as the opening event of the FedExCup Fall. Introduced as part of the TOUR's post-FedExCup calendar, the tournament provides players with valuable opportunities to improve their standing, secure playing privileges for the following season, and compete for exemptions into major PGA TOUR events.
The championship is contested at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville. Opened in 2005, the course combines dramatic mountain scenery with strategic shot-making and has earned recognition as one of the premier golf destinations in the southeastern United States.
One of the event's defining features is its spectacular natural setting. Surrounded by forests, rolling terrain, and panoramic mountain views, Walnut Cove provides one of the most scenic backdrops on the PGA TOUR calendar.
As the inaugural edition of the tournament, the 2026 champion will become the first player to lift the Biltmore Championship Asheville trophy and write his name into PGA TOUR history.

His final round featured an eagle on the par-5 8th hole and three consecutive birdies to finish, turning what was already a strong week into a dominant victory.

The victory at the Biltmore Championship Asheville marked Bridgeman's second PGA Tour title of the season, following his breakthrough win at the prestigious Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club earlier in the year. One of the keys to Bridgeman's success is his putting. During the 2026 season, he led the entire PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Putting and also ranked first in average distance of putts made per round. First contested in 1994, the biennial competition pits the United States Team against an International Team representing players from outside Europe. The 2026 edition will be played at the legendary Medinah Country Club (Course No. 3). Originally designed by Tom Bendelow and recently restored and renovated by the acclaimed architecture firm OCM, the course is one of the most celebrated championship venues in the United States. Medinah has previously hosted multiple major championships, the Ryder Cup, and the BMW Championship.

Entering Sunday’s singles trailing 10.5-7.5, the Americans produced a dominant final-day performance, winning 9.5 of the 12 available points to secure a 17–13 victory over the International Team. The win extended the United States' unbeaten run in the competition to 11 consecutive Presidents Cups.
