In this post, let's discover together the women golfers who occupy the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).


Ingrid Lindblad 🇸🇪 born in 2000 (age 24)

'Iggy''s golfing prowess shone in 2021 with a European Ladies Amateur victory. The following year, she etched her name in history by setting the U.S. Women's Open amateur record with a 6-under 65. Her winning streak continued as part of Sweden's World Amateur Team Championship triumph and culminated in the World Amateur Golf Ranking to number 1 in June 2023.


Minsol Kim 🇰🇷 born in 2007 (age 17)

Since joining the national team in early 2023, she's been a whirlwind of success. A second-place finish at the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship is just one highlight, followed by a near-win at the prestigious Korea Women's Open (4th place) and two more KLPGA top-10s. On the international stage, she led Korea to victory at the Women's World Amateur Team Championship and a silver medal at the Asian Games (where she also placed 6th individually). She finished 5th at this year’s Asia Pacific Championship.


Lottie Woad 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 born in 2004 (age 20)

In 2024, Woad won the Augusta National Women's Amateur. In 2022, she won the 2022 Girls Amateur Championship. Her success began with a win at the 2021 Welsh Women's Open Stroke Play Championship, followed by her Ladies European Tour debut in May 2022 at the Madrid Open.


Julia Lopez Ramirez 🇪🇸 born in 2003 (age 21)

In April 2024, Julia won her second consecutive SEC individual Golf Championship. Appeared in the 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championship, earning a third place team finish with Team Spain. Best Finish: 1, 2023 NCAA Westfield Regional (13-under par, 203). Named to the Final ANNIKA Award Watch List, along with being named to the preseason watch list. Pro Tournaments: La Sella Open (2023), AIG Women's Open (2023).


Helen Briem 🇩🇪 born in 2005 (age 18)

Won the 2021 European Young Masters, the 2022 European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande, the 2023 R&A Girls Amateur Championship, and the 2024 Portuguese Ladies Amateur. Additionally, she medaled at the 2022 Espirito Santo Trophy.


Zoe Antoinette Campos 🇺🇸 born in 2003 (age 21)

5-time Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Week (last April 2, 2024). ANNIKA Award Top 10 Finalist (2022-2023). Golfweek First Team All-American (2022-2023). WGCA First Team All-American (2022-2023). She lists her greatest athletic thrill as playing in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur in 2019, placing in the top five in a field with some of the best amateurs in the world (at 16 years old).


Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio 🇪🇸 born in 2005 (age 19)

In 2022, she won the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship, the World Junior Girls Championship (in Canada) and the Junior Golf World Cup (in Japan). Golf is a family passion: her older sister Blanca won the 2017 World Junior Girls Championship.


Andrea Revuelta Goicoechea 🇪🇸 born in 2006 (age 18)

A ballet background preceded her amateur golf stardom. She won the World Junior Girls Championship and the Junior Golf World Cup in 2022. This same year, she also reached the semi-finals of the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship won by her compatriot Cayetana Fernandez García-Poggio. Her 3 siblings are all golfers : the 2018 Campeonato de España Infantil saw all 4 of them competing.


Yuna Araki 🇯🇵 born in 2006 (age 18)

2023 was a breakout year for her. She secured wins at the Women's Australian Master of the Amateurs and the Adam Scott Junior Championship (US), while also racking up top-10 finishes at major tournaments like the Australian Women's Amateur and the Queen Sirikit Cup.


Megan Schofill 🇺🇸 born in 2002 (age 22)

In 2023, she excelled both individually and as a teammate. Her outstanding play earned her First Team All-America honors, and she proudly represented the US at the Arnold Palmer Cup and the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. Her home course is Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, Georgia.
